FFT: The Ivalice Chronicles Trainer

FINAL FANTASY TACTICS - The Ivalice Chronicles

Edit units, items and battle settings in FINAL FANTASY TACTICS - The Ivalice Chronicles (Steam, enhanced mode). The trainer reads and writes local game memory. Unit, job, item and ability names come from the installed game files in the selected language.

v0.2.0 — Inventory row recycling and batched refresh reduce scrolling stalls. This release adds equipment descriptions and verified stats, gold highlighting for quantity changes, and separate controls for cross-character secondary-command Hack and learning actions for the equipped secondary command. The 10× JP multiplier now works even after cumulative JP reaches 9999. Only one instance runs per Windows session; opening the app again requests activation of the existing window, with foreground behavior subject to Windows restrictions. Exit the old version before upgrading. Known limitation: retry issues after some failed JP writes remain unresolved.

01Features

Editable values and battle settings

Units

Gil, level and EXP, Bravery and Faith, and base stats. Leveling up applies the current job's stat growth.

Job JP

Adding JP increases both the current and total JP for that job. Job levels update at the game’s thresholds.

Ability slots

Learned abilities are listed by default. Nine verified special characters can select their own special secondary commands after changing jobs. The separate cross-character secondary-command Hack is off by default: it exposes only valid human commands, not every ID, and does not automatically learn actions.

Items

Search, filter and edit quantities; changed rows turn gold with old → new beside the name. Equipment descriptions come from local game files. WP, weapon evade, HP / MP, PA / MA, speed, move and jump stats are verified against the build 24304444 EXE; unknown values are not invented.

Battle

Lock party and guest HP, give the party infinite MP, or freeze the KO countdown. Action settings include locking or filling party CT, always move, always act, maximum Move and Jump, and instant casting.

EXP and JP multipliers

Apply 2×, 5× or 10× multipliers to EXP and JP awarded to the party. Battle toggles and multipliers persist between battles and after restarting the trainer.

A separate action learns all valid action abilities of the currently equipped secondary command. It merges learned bits only at nonempty positions in the real ability table, never fills FFFF, and does not change passives, JP or jobs. Special commands share k0, which may affect other special-command reads for the same character; ordinary commands use their own k. Preview, staging and a second danger confirmation are required. Writes validate all three rosters without a forced write loop; a failure may still leave partial changes.

In-game menu checks confirmed 11 All Swordskill actions and 8 Dragon actions lit up, not every battle cast or save reload. An open party menu may cache data: fully return to the world map and reopen it; closing only the ability popup is insufficient. Weapon MP target limitations remain. Retrying some partial JP write failures may multiply gains again; this is not fixed. Back up saves first. Screenshots are from earlier versions; game portraits and artwork are not distributed in the package.

04FAQ
Which version of the game is supported?

The Steam release in enhanced mode (FFT_enhanced.exe). Memory addresses have been checked against build 24304444. A game update may prevent the trainer from reading data or writing changes until support is updated.

Can it damage my save?

Yes. Editing game memory can corrupt saves, so keep your own backups. Before writing, the trainer backs up the save folder to %LOCALAPPDATA%\FftTrainer\save-backups, at most once every 10 minutes, keeping the latest 20 copies. It also checks each edit against the current game value. Unit edits written while a shop or unit screen is open may be overwritten when that screen closes.

Which interface languages are available?

Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, French, German, Japanese and Korean. Each uses the game’s terminology. Select a language from the menu in the title bar.

Does it need an internet connection or an account?

No. The trainer only reads and writes game memory on your PC. It does not connect to the internet and has no accounts.

The trainer doesn't work. What should I check?

Make sure the Steam version is running in enhanced mode, then check for "Connected to FFT_enhanced.exe" in the top right of the trainer. If a game update changes memory addresses, the trainer stops reading or refuses to write. Check GitHub Releases for a new version. When reporting a problem on GitHub Issues, include the game and trainer versions, the game language and what you were doing when it happened.

How is it different from WeMod or FLiNG?

Ivalice Trainer is free and open source under the MIT license, with source code on GitHub. The trainer has no ads, makes no network connections and needs no account. If you are looking for a cheat table, it edits game memory directly without requiring Cheat Engine. Its interface supports the same 7 languages as the game. Unit, job and item names are read from the game files on your PC. Downloads are available from dl.cqagc.com, a server in China, and GitHub Releases.
